Klein Tools Digital angle gauge with V-groove review
A trade angle gauge with dual 0–90° and 0–180° ranges and a V-groove machined around the base, so it sits on pipe and conduit instead of rocking on them.
What the figures leave us with Bought for the V-groove and the trade build. The absence of a published figure at this price is the notable gap.
The only gauge here designed to sit on something round.
What the manufacturer publishes
A digital angle gauge and inclinometer that measures, transfers and checks angles, and can be used as a digital level for installation and alignment work. Dual measuring ranges of 0–90° and 0–180°, stated for pipe bending, machine alignment, metalwork and installation. A strong magnetic base holding securely on ferromagnetic surfaces such as pipes, conduit, saw blades, beams and ducts. An all-round V-groove supporting precise alignment on round surfaces.
Why round surfaces are the hard case
Everything else an angle gauge sits on is flat, and a flat base handles it. Conduit, pipe and round bar are the exception, and they are exactly what an electrician or a pipefitter measures all day. Without a groove, the gauge is a rocking object reporting a number with confidence.
The price and the gap
At the top of this hub’s range, the absence of a stated tolerance is harder to accept than on an eleven-euro tool. What Klein publishes instead is the mounting, the ranges and the intended trades — which tells you what it is for, not how close it gets.

What it has, and what it lacks
Strengths
A V-groove around the base for accurate alignment on round surfaces — the only gauge here with one
Dual ranges, 0–90° and 0–180°, for pipe bending and machine alignment
A strong magnetic base stated for pipes, conduit, saw blades, beams and ducts
Measures, transfers and checks angles, and doubles as a digital level
Compromises
No accuracy figure published in the listing
The most expensive gauge here by a wide margin

What gets asked here
Why does a V-groove matter on an angle gauge?
A flat-based gauge on a pipe touches along one line and reports whatever angle you happened to hold it at. A V-groove seats on two lines and defines the orientation. Klein states an all-round V-groove for precise alignment on round surfaces.
What does dual range give me?
Klein states 0–90° and 0–180° ranges, intended for pipe bending, machine alignment, metalwork and installation. A bend measured as 30° from straight and 150° included is the same bend, and the two conventions both appear on drawings.
Does Klein publish an accuracy figure?
Not in this listing. The Mcbazel and Neoteck gauges in this hub state ± 0.2°; this one states its ranges and its mounting but not its tolerance.

What buyers actually choose
Amazon reports what buyers took in the month before this page was last checked: at least 6,000.
The figure is a floor, rounded by Amazon, and read through Keepa — it says what buyers picked, not what a maker claims.

4 × 90° (360°) · four magnets · absolute and relative modes · backlit
A 360° angle gauge with four base magnets and both absolute and relative measuring modes — the second mode being the one most angle work actually needs.
Best for: Work that alternates between absolute slopes and relative angles without changing tools.
