Every multimeter has separate sockets for voltage and for current, and current is measured with the meter in series — effectively a piece of wire. Leave the lead in the current socket, turn the dial to volts, and touch a live supply, and you have connected that near-short across it. It is the single most common way a meter is destroyed and a fuse, or a person, is put at risk.
Lighting the right sockets for the selected function turns an invisible error into a visible one. No other meter in this hub does anything about it.
A contactless detector built into the meter is convenient and it is not a proof of isolation. Its silence depends on insulation thickness, screening and how the tool is held. It belongs at the start of a check, never at the end.

The commonest destructive error with a multimeter is leaving the red lead in the current jack and then measuring voltage — which puts a near short circuit across the supply. KAIWEETS states the correct jacks light green for the selected function, which makes the mistake visible before it is made.
No. A contactless detector says "there is probably voltage here", never "this is safe". Confirm anything you intend to work on with a two-pole tester that loads the circuit, and follow the manufacturer instructions for both tools.
