Probe diameter decides where it goes; cable stiffness decides if it arrives · review
Vorth Phone endoscope, 8 mm (0.31 in) probe, 5 m (16 ft) review
An 8 mm (0.31 in) probe on 5 m (16 ft) of semi-rigid cable that holds the shape you bend into it, IP67-rated for an hour of immersion, feeding an iOS or Android phone.
What the figures leave us with The sensible entry point. Semi-rigid cable and a real IP rating are the two things that matter, and both are here.
An endoscope is a probe diameter and a cable behavior. Everything else is display.
What the manufacturer publishes
An 8 mm (0.31 in) probe with a 2.0 MP HD sensor, stated as entering tight spaces easily. Compatibility with iOS 9+ and Android 4.2+ through the UseePlus app, plug and play. A 5 m (16 ft) semi-rigid snake cable that holds its shape while bending freely, with an IP67 rating allowing one hour of continuous immersion. Adjustable LED lighting and a 360°-rotatable lens.
The two specifications that decide everything
Diameter sets the smallest opening the probe enters. Cable stiffness sets whether it arrives where you pointed it. A soft cable in a drain follows the drain; a semi-rigid one can be bent into a hook and held against the wall of a pipe to look at one spot.
Resolution matters far less than either, because almost everything inspected is unlit and the limiting factor is the LED ring rather than the sensor.
What using a phone costs
Nothing, until the phone is low on battery or the app updates. A dedicated screen — the Yamokizy and Ralcam in this hub — removes both dependencies, and adds the cost of a screen.

What it has, and what it lacks
Strengths
A semi-rigid cable that holds its shape — the property that decides whether the probe arrives where you aimed it
IP67 stated for one hour of continuous immersion, on the head as well as the cable
An 8 mm (0.31 in) probe with a 2.0 MP sensor and eight adjustable LEDs
Works with iOS 9+ and Android 4.2+ through one app
On sale across all six markets
Compromises
No screen: it is useless without a compatible phone
Eight millimeters will not enter the smallest openings — the Ralcam here is 6.2 mm (0.24 in)
Five meters is the shortest reach in this hub

What gets asked here
What does semi-rigid mean and why does it matter?
The cable holds the shape you bend into it instead of falling straight. That is what lets the head be steered around a corner and held there. A soft cable can only be pushed, and it goes wherever the pipe sends it.
Is the IP rating on the head or the handset?
Vorth states IP67 for the cable and probe, allowing one hour of continuous immersion. That is the right part to rate — the head is what goes into standing water.
Will an 8 mm (0.31 in) probe fit my hole?
It needs a genuine 8 mm (0.31 in) opening plus clearance to steer. For smaller access, the 6.2 mm (0.24 in) Ralcam in this hub is the one that fits.

Who should pick this one, among measuring instruments
A first endoscope for cavities, drains and behind appliances, where a phone is always to hand anyway.
What buyers actually choose
Amazon reports what buyers took in the month before this page was last checked: at least 900.
The figure is a floor, rounded by Amazon, and read through Keepa — it says what buyers picked, not what a maker claims.

7 mm (0.28 in) cable, 30 m (98 ft) with meter marks · self-leveling image · 9-inch IPS · DVR 32 GB
A drain inspection camera on 30 m (98 ft) of meter-marked cable, with a self-leveling image that stays upright however the head rotates, recording to a 32 GB card.
Best for: Surveying a drain run properly — with a distance, an orientation and a recording rather than an impression.
6.2 mm (0.24 in) probe · 210° articulating head · 5-inch 1280 × 720 · over-90 °C warning
The thinnest probe here at 6.2 mm (0.24 in), on a head that articulates through 210° — so the camera can look back along the cavity it entered rather than only forwards.
Best for: Engine bays, machinery and cavities where the thing you need to see is beside the hole, not beyond it.
