Stabila Type 70 spirit level, 50 cm (19.7 in) vs Einhell Accessories Spirit level set, 40 / 60 / 100 cm (39.4 in)

One level that stays true, or three lengths and a self-check figure?

Both of these answer the same question differently. Stabila bonds its vials permanently to the profile so the tool does not drift; Einhell publishes the figure that tells you whether a level is drifting — turn-over accuracy — and supplies three lengths.

A tick marks the better answer on that line only. Counting ticks does not decide the page — the two verdicts below do, because these products answer different questions.

Which of the two, for which tolerance

Buy the Stabila Type 70 spirit level, 50 cm (19.7 in)

Prefer the Stabila if you own one level and want it to still be right in five years. The bonded vials and the published temperature range are what you are paying for, not the length.

Buy the Einhell Accessories Spirit level set, 40 / 60 / 100 cm (39.4 in)

Buy the Einhell set to equip a workshop from nothing. Three lengths beats one better level of the wrong length — and it is the only entry in the hub that publishes what a self-check will show.

What gets asked here

What is turn-over accuracy?

The difference between what a level reads on a surface and what it reads after being rotated 180° in place on the same surface. It exposes an error baked into the tool, and it is the only check a buyer can perform without a reference surface.

Can I do that check on any level?

Yes, on every level in this hub. Read a surface, turn the level end for end without moving it along, read again. The bubble should sit identically; half of any difference is the tool's error.

Each one at length

  • Stabila Type 70 spirit level, 50 cm (19.7 in)

    50 cm (19.7 in) · ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m stated · locked vials · −20 to +50 °C (122 °F)

The level built around keeping its vials where they were set: Stabila states ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m in the normal position, permanently bonded vials, and accurate reading from −20 °C (-4 °F) to +50 °C (122 °F).

Best for: A level that stays right. The bonding of the vials is the specification you are buying.

    7.9/10

  • Einhell Accessories Spirit level set, 40 / 60 / 100 cm (39.4 in)

    Three levels · ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in) stated · ± 0.75 mm (0.03 in) turn-over · three vials each

Three levels at 40, 60 and 100 cm (39.4 in), and the only entry in this hub that publishes a turn-over figure — ± 0.75 mm (0.03 in) — which is the number that describes whether a level is telling the truth.

Best for: Equipping a workshop from nothing, where owning the right length matters more than owning the best one.
