Bonded vials and a straight edge, and the reason both matter in year three
Stabila appears three times on this site, and the same design philosophy shows in all three.
Designing against the failure rather than for the datasheet. The Type 70 level bonds its vials permanently to the profile — the direct answer to how levels actually go out of true. The Type 717 folding rule forms a continuous straight edge unfolded, so a pencil line does not kink at every joint. The BM 150 tape has a window in the top of the case, removing the addition that goes wrong on internal measurements.
This one’s price among measuring instruments. The folding rule is the most expensive in its hub by a factor of nine, and it is on offer on only two markets. Its EC accuracy class is not stated, where cheaper rules state theirs.
The Type 70 level, and the temperature range it publishes: exact reading from −20 °C (-4 °F) to +50 °C (122 °F). It is the only such figure in the whole catalog.

The most expensive rule here, and the only one specified as a marking tool: glass-fiber reinforced polyamide joints, a scribing function with a continuous straight edge when unfolded, PEFC beech and a quick-read scale.
Best for: Someone who marks against their rule all day and wants one that stays straight while doing it.

The level built around keeping its vials where they were set: Stabila states ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m in the normal position, permanently bonded vials, and accurate reading from −20 °C (-4 °F) to +50 °C (122 °F).
Best for: A level that stays right. The bonding of the vials is the specification you are buying.

A compact 3 m (10 ft) tape whose distinguishing feature is a window in the top of the case, so internal measurements — a window reveal, a door opening — are read directly instead of by adding the case length.
Best for: Fitting work — windows, doors, openings — where most measurements are internal.
