Bosch Aluminum spirit level, 60 cm (23.6 in) review
A 60 cm (23.6 in) aluminum level stating 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m, with fluorescent vials, a double metric scale that turns it into a rule, a V-groove for pipes, and two sliders for marking leveled points.
What the figures leave us with The one that replaces two tools. The V-groove and the scale earn their place long before the vials are the deciding factor.
Bosch’s 60 cm (23.6 in) level is specified as though somebody had watched how a level is actually used.
What the manufacturer publishes
An accuracy of 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m. Horizontal and vertical fluorescent vials. A double-sided metric scale — 0 to 57 cm (0 to 22.4 in) on one face, two 0 to 28 cm (0 to 11 in) scales on the other — for use as a rule. A milled flat underside with a V-groove, stated to allow measurement from flat and curved surfaces. Two marking sliders for marking leveled points at a chosen spacing. An aluminum body with reinforced ribs, robust end caps with a soft-grip stop, and a hanging hole.
Why the V-groove is more than a detail
Pipes, conduit and round bar are exactly the things that need leveling and exactly the things a flat level cannot sit on. Without a groove the level touches on a single line and reports whatever angle you happened to hold it at, repeatably and wrongly. It is a five-second problem that produces a ten-minute error.
The sliders and what they are for
Two sliders that lock along the body let you carry a spacing from one leveled mark to the next without a pencil and a tape. If you are hanging a row of anything — brackets, tiles, pictures — that is the whole job. If you level one thing once, they do nothing.

What it has, and what it lacks
Strengths
States 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m, half the error published by the kwb
Doubles as a rule: a double-sided metric scale, 0–57 cm (0 to 22.4 in) on one face and two 0–28 cm (0 to 11 in) on the other
A V-groove milled into the flat underside, so it sits on a pipe instead of rocking on it
Two marking sliders for recording leveled points at a set spacing
Fluorescent vials, readable in a badly lit corner
Compromises
No turn-over accuracy published
Sixty centimeters is the awkward middle: too long for a cupboard, too short for a door frame
The sliders are useful only if you mark repeatedly at the same spacing

What gets asked here
What is the V-groove for?
Bosch states it lets the level measure from curved as well as flat surfaces. A flat-bottomed level on a pipe touches at one line and rocks; a V-groove seats on two lines and stays put.
Can I use it as a ruler?
Yes — Bosch prints a double-sided metric scale, 0–57 cm (0 to 22.4 in) on one side and two 0–28 cm (0 to 11 in) scales on the other. It is one of the few levels here that publishes its scale layout.
Does it publish a turn-over figure?
No. Only the Einhell set in this hub publishes turn-over accuracy. You can still perform the check yourself: read a surface, rotate the level end for end in place, and read again.

Who should pick this one, among measuring instruments
The general-purpose level for someone who would otherwise carry a level and a rule.
Amazon reports what buyers took in the month before this page was last checked: at least 500.
The figure is a floor, rounded by Amazon, and read through Keepa — it says what buyers picked, not what a maker claims.

20 cm (7.9 in) · 1 mm (0.04 in)/m stated · two vials · rubber end bumpers
A 20 cm (7.9 in) pocket level with ground bearing faces, a stated accuracy of 1 mm (0.04 in) per meter and rubber bumpers at both ends. The loosest published figure here, in the smallest and cheapest body.
Best for: The level that lives in a drawer or a kitchen cupboard for hanging pictures and checking appliances.
Three levels · ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in) stated · ± 0.75 mm (0.03 in) turn-over · three vials each
Three levels at 40, 60 and 100 cm (39.4 in), and the only entry in this hub that publishes a turn-over figure — ± 0.75 mm (0.03 in) — which is the number that describes whether a level is telling the truth.
Best for: Equipping a workshop from nothing, where owning the right length matters more than owning the best one.
50 cm (19.7 in) · ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m stated · locked vials · −20 to +50 °C (122 °F)
The level built around keeping its vials where they were set: Stabila states ± 0.5 mm (0.02 in)/m in the normal position, permanently bonded vials, and accurate reading from −20 °C (-4 °F) to +50 °C (122 °F).
Best for: A level that stays right. The bonding of the vials is the specification you are buying.
