Accepts both red and green beams, so it survives a change of laser
A stated 8 cm (3.1 in) receiving window — the figure that decides how quickly the beam is found
No accuracy bands published in the listing
Best for: Anyone who owns more than one laser, or expects to.
A handy, compact receiver for red and green beams with ranges up to 50 m (164 ft). A large receiving area of 8 cm (3.1 in). Alignment of the laser beam plane with visual signals — a display and LEDs — and acoustic signals, for working under difficult conditions. Extremely robust with IP54 protection against dust and water.
The window is the ergonomic specification
Everything else about a receiver is electronics. The window is where the beam has to land, and finding it on a windy site at 30 m (98 ft) with the receiver clamped to a rod is the actual work. Eight centimeters is a generous target and it is published, which is unusual.
Signaling that works when you cannot see the display
Above and below the plane, LEDs and a tone tell you which way to move. On a rod held above head height, or in bright sun where the display washes out, the tone is the whole interface.

What gets asked here
Why does the window size matter?
The receiving window is the target you have to get the beam into. A tall window is found by sliding the receiver roughly into position; a narrow one has to be hunted for. Bosch states 8 cm (3.1 in), which most listings omit entirely.
Red and green — is that unusual?
It is the useful case. Receivers are commonly sold for one diode color, which ties them to one laser. Taking both means the receiver outlives the tool it was bought for.
Does my laser need a pulse mode?
Yes — every receiver needs one. Check for a pulse, manual or receiver setting on the laser before buying.
The only receiver here that names what it will not work with — fifteen of its own maker's lasers, by model number.
Functions
Detects red AND green pulsed beams in bright light to a working range of 200 ft (60 m) — stated, and stated three times over that the laser's PULSE MODE must be turned on and kept on. This shelf's buying tip says to confirm the laser has a pulse or manual/receiver mode before buying a receiver at all; Huepar does not leave that to the buyer
Also stated
FIFTY-TWO compatible Huepar and Huepar Pro models are listed by number — and then a second bullet lists FIFTEEN that are NOT, naming the 9011G, 9211G, FL360R, FL360G, 8300G, B011G, B011R, FC011G, FC011R, 9300G and GK011DG line lasers and the RL200HR, RL200HVG, RL300HR and RL300HVG rotary lasers, because they have no pulse mode. No other receiver on this shelf publishes an exclusion list of any kind
Display
Readouts on the FRONT, the SIDE and the BACK of the receiver, stated. Three faces is the most on this shelf, where the next has two — and the side face is the one that matters when the receiver is clamped to a rod and read from an angle
Measuring mode
Optical and acoustic signals to locate the laser plane, with beeps when the target is found, plus a dual-sided bubble vial on the front AND the top to confirm the receiver itself is level. No accuracy bands are published, which this shelf's introduction lists as one of five comparisons
Power
A 9 V dry battery giving about 70 working hours, with automatic shut-off after about 8 minutes idle. Seventy hours is the longest stated life on this shelf and the eight-minute timeout the shortest — both of which favor a receiver that gets picked up and put down all day
Reference and mounting
A heavy-duty clamp attached, stated to mount the detector to a rod or other target point. This shelf's introduction asks about clamp fit; the clamp is included rather than optional, which two of the three receivers here manage
Supplied
The receiver, the clamp and a 9 V battery. Huepar also writes out a power-on check — confirm the battery polarity, short-press the button, look for a red indicator — which is unusual and useful on a tool whose first symptom of a flat cell is silence

Best for: Leveling work where the question is how far off, not merely whether you are on.

Functions
pulse mode required
A stated 60 m (197 ft) working range, which restores outdoor use to a laser that is invisible past a few meters in daylight
A wide receiving window, so the beam is found without hunting
The maker states it works only with VEVOR lasers that have a pulse mode — read that before ordering
Best for: Outdoor work with a compatible pulse-mode laser, where the alternative is not working at all.

A special reflective target film, stated to increase visibility beyond a plain tint
Green only — useless with a red laser
Best for: Green line lasers, where the reflective film and the central zero earn their premium.
The only plate here that says what its magnets are made of, and the only one that gives you two places to put them.
Reference and mounting
DUAL-POSITION rare-earth magnets, stated. Two things here that nothing else on this shelf publishes: the magnet MATERIAL — rare earth, meaning neodymium, which holds several times harder than the ferrite magnet in a cheap plate — and TWO positions, so the plate can be hung in either orientation on the same steel without rotating the scale
Scale
Dual inch and centimeter measuring scales, stated. Johnson does not say whether zero is at the center or an edge, which four plates on this shelf do state
Functions
A high-contrast X design stated to allow fast, efficient positioning, for use with GREEN lasers. An X is read by laying the line along one arm, which is quick when you are square to the plate; a bullseye on another plate here reads the same from any angle. No brightness gain figure is published
Body and fittings
A geometric design stated to provide maximum stability. On a plate that hangs from magnets, stability means it does not rotate or slide under its own weight — which is exactly what two magnet positions and a shaped body address together
Also stated
For use with GREEN lasers, stated plainly and without hedging. Johnson Level & Tool is a US level manufacturer rather than a trading brand, which is the reason the magnet specification is there at all
Supplied
The target. No dimensions, no weight and no count appear, and no floor stand or hook hole is published — the magnets are the only fixing

Rare-earth magnets, the only magnet type named here
Two magnet positions, so either orientation works
Magnets only: no hook hole and no floor stand
Best for: Steel-framed interiors, where the plate goes on a stud and must not slide
The only plate here with a numbered brightness gain — on a red plate whose own listing says it suits green lasers as well.
Functions
A special reflective target film stated to increase the brightness of RED laser lines or points by 1.3 times in long-distance or bright sunlight conditions. One point three is the ONLY numbered gain on this shelf — the other plates say reflective backing, or high-contrast, and leave you to judge
Scale
Center-zero scales in BOTH inches and centimeters, stated easy to read. Center zero is the detail that matters: a target plate is used to transfer a line, and a scale reading outward from the middle gives the offset directly in either direction without arithmetic
Reference and mounting
Three fixings, stated: strong magnets for metal studs, a hole for hook mounting, and a fold-out back stand to stand it upright on a floor. Three routes is the most on this shelf, and the floor stand is what makes a plate usable where there is no steel and nothing to hang it on
Also stated
The fourth bullet reads: "compatible with both red and green beam laser levels". This shelf's introduction says a red plate does very little for a green line and calls that the one specification people get wrong, and the buying tip warns that listings frequently show both plates lit by the same beam. This is a RED plate, sold beside the maker's own GREEN plate at the same price — the two exist precisely because the tints are not interchangeable
Material
Lightweight and rugged, stated, compact enough for a toolkit. No dimensions and no weight appear, where one plate on this shelf publishes 10 × 7 cm (3.9 × 2.8 in) and 30 g (1.1 oz)
Supplied
The plate. The parcel weighs 27 g (1 oz), which is consistent with a single card rather than a pair — two plates on this shelf ship in multiples
