A laser target plate suitable for laser distance meters. Improved laser beam visibility. Usable flexibly anywhere thanks to its stand and handy size.
Distance meters and line lasers need targets for different reasons
A line laser needs a target because the line is invisible on the surface you are marking. A distance meter needs one because at 50 or 100 m (328 ft), outdoors, you cannot see where the dot has landed — and because a poor surface returns too little energy for the meter to read at all.
The plate solves the second problem as well as the first, which is why long-range measurement outdoors is often impossible without one.
The gap in the listing
No stated tint color and no scale. For a plate at this price, the Huepar in this hub publishes more.

What gets asked here
Why does a distance meter need a target?
At long range the returned dot becomes hard to place — outdoors in daylight, or against a dark or absorbent surface, you cannot see where you are aiming. A plate gives the beam something bright and defined to land on, and gives the meter a better return.
Does it help the measurement or just the aiming?
Both. A reflective plate returns more energy to the meter, which is why long-range measurements outdoors are often only possible with one.
What color is it tuned to?
Not stated. Bosch sells both red and green distance meters, so check the product images or the packaging.
Magnetic and washable in one plate, which nothing else here manages — at six times the price per plate of the same maker's cards.
Reference and mounting
Strong built-in magnets for secure attachment to metal surfaces, stated. Combined with the washable material below, this is the only plate on this shelf that is BOTH magnetic and washable — the adhesive cards from the same maker are washable and not magnetic, and the five magnetic plates here say nothing about being washed
Material
Durable, water-resistant material, stated — rinse and reuse for long-term performance. On a plate that gets set on a dusty slab and then on a window, a face that can be rinsed rather than wiped is the difference between a clean target and a grey one
Functions
Stated to improve laser DOT detection in bright or long-range conditions, and designed specifically to work with the HOZO M-Cube 02 laser distance meter. Note the word dot: this is aimed at a point laser, a distance meter, rather than at a line — which is a different job from most of this shelf
Also stated
NO TINT Color, on a shelf whose tag reads "a red plate for a red line, a green plate for a green one". Neither HOZO listing here publishes one, and this shelf's introduction calls the tint the one specification people get wrong
Scale
NONE published. No increments, no center zero and no crosshair — so the plate makes a dot visible and does not help you measure from it. At least five of the ten plates on this shelf carry a scale
Stated dimension or range
Not published. The parcel weighs 68 g (2.4 oz), which is more than twice the 30 g (1.1 oz) of the plate on this shelf that does publish its size

Magnetic and washable, which nothing else here is both of
A water-resistant face that rinses rather than wipes
Twenty-nine dollars, the most expensive plate on this shelf
Best for: A HOZO M-Cube 02 owner who wants one plate that goes on steel and wipes clean
The only target here that works on glass and concrete — because it is glue, not a magnet — and the only one with a published reuse count.
Reference and mounting
ADHESIVE, not magnetic: stated to attach to any surface including walls, CONCRETE, wood and GLASS. It is the only non-magnetic plate on this shelf and that is its reason to exist — a magnet needs steel, and a glazed shopfront, a poured slab or a plastered room offers none. This shelf's introduction lists magnetic backing as one of five comparisons; this plate answers the question the other way
Also stated
Washable and reusable, stated to retain their stickiness up to 100 TIMES. It is the only reuse count published on this shelf, and on an adhesive product it is the figure that decides whether this is a consumable or a tool — a hundred uses at under five dollars a card is a long time
Supplied
Four cards, stated, at nineteen dollars — about four dollars seventy-five each, the lowest price per plate on this shelf. The same maker's single magnetic plate on this shelf costs twenty-nine dollars
Functions
Stated suitable for alignment, laser levels, rotating lasers, cross lasers and laser measurement, and for the maker's own M-Cube laser distance meter. NO TINT Color is stated — neither red nor green — on a shelf whose tag reads: a red plate for a red line, a green plate for a green one
Scale
NONE. No increments, no center zero and no crosshair is published. This shelf's introduction says a printed scale is what turns a plate into a marking aid; at least five of the ten plates here carry one and this is not among them
Stated dimension or range
Not published. No size and no thickness appears, and the parcel weighs 20 g (0.7 oz) for four cards — which describes a card rather than a board

It sticks to glass and concrete, where magnets fail
Four cards for nineteen dollars, under five each
No tint color stated at all
Best for: Glass, concrete and plastered walls, where there is no steel for a magnet anywhere
A green target plate with a reflective film rather than just a tint, a marked central zero point, and three ways of mounting it — magnets, a hanging hole and a back stand.

Optical
Green tint · reflective target film
Also stated
central zero
Reference and mounting
magnets, hook hole and stand
States its color — green — which is the specification that decides whether it works with your laser
A special reflective target film, stated to increase visibility beyond a plain tint
Green only — useless with a red laser
Best for: Green line lasers, where the reflective film and the central zero earn their premium.
Six feet of height and a level built into the head — and no figure anywhere for how low it goes.
Stated dimension or range
Extends open to 72 in and collapses to 38 in for storage, stated. Seventy-two inches is the tallest on this shelf — six feet puts a laser above head height for a suspended ceiling or a soffit. NO MINIMUM WORKING HEIGHT is published: 38 inches is the folded length for transport, not a usable setting, and this shelf's introduction says the minimum matters as much as the maximum
Reference and mounting
A 1/4-inch × 20 thread mount, stated, and stated compatible with ALL DEWALT line and spot lasers. Naming the whole of its own laser range is a stronger compatibility statement than most on this site — and 1/4 inch rather than 5/8 means it is not a construction tripod
Body and fittings
A tilting head with an INTEGRATED LEVEL, stated to allow level ground to be established. Lightweight aluminum construction with collapsible legs. A level in the head rather than on the leg collar is the better place for it: it reads the plate the instrument actually sits on
Material
Aluminum construction, stated. No wall thickness, no alloy and no load capacity appears — and the other tripod on this shelf publishes a 6.6 lb load
Measuring mode
An integrated level on the tilting head. On a self-leveling laser the tripod need only land within the pendulum range; on a manual laser the head level is the reference the whole job depends on
Supplied
A carrying pouch, stated, plus non-skid feet. At 1361 g (48 oz) the parcel is roughly four times the weight of the other tripod on this shelf, which is what six feet of aluminum leg costs
Also stated
Class II laser, stated — which belongs to the lasers it carries rather than to the tripod, and is the kind of line that drifts across a listing from the product beside it. No elevating column is published

Seventy-two inches, the tallest on this shelf
A level integrated into the tilting head, not the collar
No minimum working height published anywhere
Best for: Ceiling grids, soffits and high layout, where six feet of reach is the requirement
The only tripod here that says how low it goes and how much it will carry — seventeen inches and six and a half pounds.
Stated dimension or range
17 in to 53 in over four different reach lengths, stated. Seventeen inches is the only MINIMUM WORKING HEIGHT published on this shelf — this shelf's buying tip says most laser work happens between 60 cm (23.6 in) and 150 cm (59.1 in), about 23.6 to 59 inches, and this shelf's introduction says the minimum matters as much as the maximum because a tripod that will not go low enough is useless for floor work. This covers the whole band and goes below it
Reference and mounting
A universal 1/4"-20 threaded screw, stated compatible with self-leveling laser levels, cross-line lasers, rangefinders, cameras and projectors. This shelf's introduction says the thread decides compatibility: 1/4 inch suits compact line lasers and camera heads, and 5/8 inch is the construction standard this tripod is not
Body and fittings
A 3-way pan head giving 360° horizontal rotation and vertical movement, with an adjustable 90° sideways tilt — stated. Four discrete extension lengths rather than a continuous column: this shelf's introduction asks whether an elevating column allows fine adjustment without resetting the legs, and four fixed steps is not that
Also stated
A load capacity of 6.6 pounds. It is the ONLY load figure on this shelf, and on a tripod whose entire job is to hold an instrument still it is the figure that says which instruments it holds — a compact cross-line laser is well under a pound, a rotary laser can be four
Measuring mode
A built-in bubble level, stated to let the tripod itself be checked and adjusted. On a self-leveling laser the tripod need only be within the pendulum range; on a manual laser the tripod's own level is the whole reference
Material
Aluminum alloy and PP, stated, with a triangular design stated to reduce vibration, and non-skid feet
Supplied
A carrying pouch, stated, with a minimum length of 17 inches folded — so the folded length and the minimum working height are the same figure, which is what four telescoping sections on a short tripod gives you
